Day 2 - Now What?

I thought that it would be a great idea to start this blog for two reasons: First, I wanted to learn about blogging myself. I work with a team of editors that write blog posts for 1to1 Media's Think Customers Blog www.1to1media.com/weblog. For you guys at home, this is not as easy as it looks.

Second, I wanted to create a place where I could bring together people who are looking for CRM-like jobs and companies who are hiring CRM-like people. Now, this is where you come in. If you are looking for a job or know of folks who are hiring, please post me a note.

The reason behind the blog

Hi,

For almost ten years I have been working in the customer strategy field (that sounds like a really long time). On paper, I am called the VP of Media and Marketing at 1to1Media, the publishing division of the management consultancy, Peppers & Rogers Group. In reality, I spend my day making connections. Customers need resources, vendors need ideas, partners need support. I connect the dots. I have the privlege of connecting really smart people to other really smart people. It is a great job and I feel very fortunate to have this role.

Lately, as a result of this economy I have found myself making different kinds of connections. Ex-clients who are looking for new jobs. Great consultants looking for new clients. It seemed like time for me to go "social" with the dot connecting so I decided to create this blog.

In the next few weeks, I will be setting up a place to post resumes and job opportunties to help the champions of customer centricity. If you know of anyone in the 1to1/CRM/customer strategy space who is looking for a job or has a job to fill, please send them to this blog.
